Kai Trump will have multiple high-profile backers as she begins her LPGA debut later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be related to Donald Trump, was granted a tournament invitation to compete at Florida's Annika event in Florida.
The former president, an avid golfer, operates numerous courses worldwide and often competes against Kai.
"He's quite skilled. I can't reveal details but we have competitive games," she mentioned.
She mentioned that her grandfather, who won't be present, told her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"My grandpa essentially advised me to compete and enjoy myself," she continued.
"To me, he's just a normal grandpa. He's not attending for the tournament. He's occupied with presidential duties, making him quite busy."
Being non-professional, the golfer has participated in just three tournaments recently and has ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association listings.
However she's able to seek guidance from 15-time major champion, who is dating Vanessa.
"He is the top athlete globally," the young golfer said.
"And he's a more impressive person. He advised me to compete, have fun, and go with the flow."
The golfer will compete against multiple the biggest names in professional golf at the competition, including world number two the champion, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Officials mentioned that Kai's presence brings the sport to new audiences, particularly among youth audiences.
The young star boasts a massive following and recently launched an exclusive apparel and wellness brand.
Her first tee time at 17:30 GMT.
